Miriam Gottfried is a reporter for The Wall Street Journal where she covers private equity. Prior to that, she wrote commentary about investing in media, telecommunications and retail for the Journal's Heard on the Street column. Miriam has written for Barron's magazine, SmartMoney, Forbes, Crain's Chicago Business and The Oregonian. She holds a Master of Arts with a concentration in business and economics from Columbia University's School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University.
